We went on the fish & chip sailing last night, it was amazing. As it was early evening and high tide, the trip we were able to get very close to the beaches and saw some interesting wildlife (inc a seal).
The food is picked up at Brixham and delivered to the boat fresh. If you've not tried Rockfish, their fish is great.
The skipper who did a commentary (& not the usual scripted commentaries with faux humour one gets on some trips with other providers), he showed he knew the area as he was a local lad who was a fisherman & knew the land and the water. His passion for the area came over.
If you're in Torquay, Paigton or Brixham, they pick up from all 3, do this trip. read less..

It was so interesting being near to the coast line and seeing the rock formations. The crew were very knowable and friendly and you could tell were passionate about the sea. read less..

First we took the small ferry (sorry can't remember the name) to Brixham the crew greeted us with smiles and helped us all aboard safely they gave a quick run though on safety procedures while we made the short crossing. The crew helped us off the other side and made sure we knew where to catch the ferry back from. Really lovely helpful chaps. We spent an hour or so in Brixham before going to catch the next ferry to Torquay.
We dutifully lined up and was surprised to see how many others were in the Que. A ferry arrived Western Lady and all but about 8 Got on that.
Our Weferry arrived next slightly bigger than the first much to my daughter's delight it had an " upstairs" again we were welcomed warmly and helped aboard. Quick safety chat again as we headed out. The skipper then gave us detailed info. on the rocks and sea life. He then invited any would be film star's to go and have a go at driving the boat!! My daughter Alana loved it!! What an amazing experience. Once we we're back on course and not heading for Portsmouth. We headed to the harbour. Unfortunately or as it turned out fortunately the Western Lady was in the harbour. So skipper decided rather than hang about in the harbour he would show us a bit more of the fantastic and fascinating coast line. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get any of this services from the bigger companies.
Thank you all at Weferry for creating some brilliant memories!!! We will be back!!! read less..
