The Teignmouth Round Robin

The new amazing value Round Robin trip to Teignmouth has now launched this season with We-Ferry – let us take you to explore a new town along the South Devon’s seafood coast by boat and train.

Sailing along some of the most magnificent coastline and areas of outstanding natural beauty, returning via train along Devon’s famous Riviera Line at a time of your choosing later in the day.

You’ll sail northwest of Brixham & Torquay towards the Jurassic Coast passing through Torbay. You’ll see Thatchers Rock a breeding ground for local birds, the Orestone, Hopes Nose, Ansteys Cove, Babbacombe and Oddicombe Beach. You love cruising along the pirate smuggling coves to Teignmouth, Shaldon and the River Teign.

We land at Fishermans Quay for 12.45pm* in the historic working port in the centre of town and just in time for lunch. Georgian buildings make up most of the beautiful seafront in this stunning coastal resort.

Visit The Grand Pier or nip to Shaldon Wildlife Trust a mini Zoo or spend the afternoon exploring the town which not only has the big named shops, but a lovely collection of independent and boutique ones too.

Returning is easy, especially when you have the freedom to return at your leisure by Train. Relax as you trundle along the scenic Riviera Line back to where you started.*

Make your day as long or as short as you like whatever the weather!

It’s so simple to plan your Round Robin…

The Teignmouth Round Robin is so simple to plan! No complicated timetables or routes, simply catch one of our comfortable, traditional ferries for the first part of your Round Robin from Torquay, Paignton or Brixham*. To return, just hop on any of the Great Western Railway trains from Teignmouth, back to Torquay or Paignton.

Whilst on board, our friendly skipper and crew will look after you as you take a journey close to the shoreline. The skipper will point out spots and places of interest along the way, and give you some of the history of the area, along with recommendations of places to visit whilst in Teignmouth.

You’ll be provided with a town map to help you enjoy your stay, and a special rail ticket for your return journey with the Great Western Railway back to Torbay*. Feel free to hop on and off the trains as you please!

*Brixham doesn’t have a train station – we’re still working on a regular transport link between Paignton & Brixham to return people that start in Brixham home. In the meantime, we are running one connecting ferry from Paignton to Brixham at 16:45pm, for customers that started in Brixham.

We sail from Torbay ports:

(10:30am) – Brixham Harbour – Main passenger ferry pontoon

(11:00am) – Paignton Harbour – North Quay (Departure Point A) or East Quay (Departure Point B) depending on the tide on the day. We’ll advise you when booking.

(11:30am) – Torquay Harbour – North Quay (Departure Point A)

We land at Teignmouth:

(12:45pm) – New Fish Quay Passenger Pontoon (Close to the town!)

Trains run to a regular timetable throughout the day, and run until late, so you can make your day as long or short as you like!

** Note from us – we’re in the process of producing a dedicated, simple train timetable to help you plan your day. We’ll pop it here as soon as it’s ready…  **
